Account Transactions
Select an account from the drop down election box at the top of the page and the rest of the
screen is automatically updated with info and transactions from the account.
Single Account Transactions (ie one that does not move money between accounts) are shown in normal font.
Transactions between accounts is shown in a bold font. Transactions occuring in the past are shown with a
olive green background whilst transactions that repeat are shown with a yellow background on the date.
Repeating transactions are replicated on the indicated cycle (config parameter) about 3 months ahead of
now, turning the earliest transaction into a non replicating version, but
keeping a copy of the repeating version at the next period.
Account Types
By convention transactions between acounts will debit the source of the transactions and credit the
destination. Normal accounts, such as your chequing account or your credit card account, will be
the debit type as the majority of the transactions will debit the balance of the account. Where you
spend money on behalf of othere people (such as work expenses) or where you are tracking loans to others transactions
normally credit the account. The account type is defined to provide the default for new transactions.
Cleared Transactions
Transactions may be marked as cleared, which means when the "re-balance from cleared" button is pressed all cleared transactions are deleted and the values folded
into the opening balance of the account. Such transactions are shown with a blue background to the date, and a blue amount. It is
possible to examine what the cleared opening balance would be come by selecting from the option. This is typically done during reconcillation of
these accounts with a statement of account received from the bank or credit card company.
